About the Role As the Center Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our center, managing staff, and ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service. You will be expected to lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of your work.
What We’re Looking For
Experienced Directors, Assistant Directors, or credentialed childcare administrators.
Strong track record in early childhood education or childcare management.
Currently employed in a center, preschool, or early education program (quality over quantity).
Location: Ohio (priority to candidates near competing centers)
Minimum Qualifications
CDA PLUS 15+ years of Administrative experience, OR
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field (child development, special education, elementary education, or human service field with 30 ECE credits)
Minimum of 3–5 years of documented supervisory experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated strong leadership, process, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship available)
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field
3–5 years in early childhood education
Experience working with diverse populations
Experience with budget management
Strong written and verbal English communication skills (bilingualism is a plus)
Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations of the center, ensuring staff efficiency and effectiveness
Manage and motivate staff, providing guidance and support as needed
Ensure clients receive the highest level of service and resolve any issues promptly
Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance center performance
Maintain accurate records and reports to ensure data integrity and compliance
Skills As the Center Director, you’ll use your communication and interpersonal skills to manage staff and ensure client satisfaction. Your leadership and organizational abilities will be key in developing and implementing processes that improve center efficiency. You’ll balance independence with collaboration, driving both operational excellence and a positive team culture. Experience in budget and project management will serve you well in this role.
