Overview
Darwin Research Group, a leading provider of healthcare market intelligence and strategic consulting, is seeking a Director of National Accounts to drive growth among our major pharmaceutical clients. This senior individual‑contributor role manages 5–10 key accounts, building deep, multi‑level relationships and serving as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders. The Director will develop and execute strategic account plans that expand partnerships, deliver client value, and achieve revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Account Management: Serve as the primary contact for key pharmaceutical clients, cultivating broad relationships across commercial, medical, and market access teams. Lead business reviews and ensure client satisfaction.
Sales Strategy & Growth: Develop and execute account strategies to meet revenue goals. Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage complex, consultative sales cycles.
Market Insight & Advisory: Provide clients with strategic perspectives on healthcare trends, value‑based care, and pharmaceutical market dynamics. Share client feedback to inform Darwin’s research and product direction.
Collaboration: Partner with internal teams—research, consulting, and leadership—to align deliverables with client goals and create tailored solutions.
Pipeline & Forecasting: Maintain accurate CRM records, track opportunities, and report on account performance.
Client Engagement: Represent Darwin at client meetings and industry events to strengthen relationships and stay ahead of market trends. (Travel ~20–30%)
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Experience: 5+ years in B2B sales, account management, or business development within healthcare, consulting, or pharma services. Proven record managing large accounts.
Skills: Strong relationship‑building and executive communication skills; consultative selling and negotiation expertise; deep knowledge of healthcare and pharmaceutical markets, including value‑based care; CRM proficiency (e.g., Monday, HubSpot, Salesforce) and solid Microsoft Office skills.
