Job Summary The Branch Manager oversees all daily branch operations, staff leadership, service performance, and compliance functions. This role actively leads a team, ensures operational excellence, supports member service, and performs limited BSA/AML reporting tasks. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, coach, and problem solver with credit union or banking experience.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all daily branch functions, scheduling, and workflow.

Ensure high-quality member service in every interaction.

Maintain branch security, cash controls, and dual-control procedures.

Resolve complex member concerns professionally and promptly.

Monitor lobby experience, wait times, and service delivery standards.

Supervise, coach, and develop branch employees (Member Advocates, Tellers, etc.).

Build a positive, inclusive, and psychologically safe work environment.

Lead team huddles, one-on-one meetings, and ongoing training.

Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations.

Serve as the first line of defense for branch compliance.

Assist with BSA/AML tasks (CTR reviews, SAR information gathering, large cash logs, etc.).

Ensure all branch operations follow PECU policies and regulatory requirements.

Verify CIP requirements and documentation for new accounts.

Maintain audit readiness and address operational exceptions quickly.

Coach staff on identifying member needs and recommending PECU products.

Support goals for membership growth, deposit accounts, loans, and service quality.

Participate in community outreach, SEG relationships, and local events.

Monitor and manage branch cash levels, vault balancing, and teller differences.

Approve fee adjustments, overrides, and daily operational requests.

Escalate fraud concerns or operational risks immediately.

Support lending by reviewing loan applications for accuracy and completeness.

Qualifications

3–5 years of banking or credit union experience required.

Previous leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.

Strong understanding of branch operations, member service, and deposit products.

Basic knowledge of BSA/AML or willingness to complete required training.

Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to lead a team, manage multiple tasks, and maintain accuracy.

Proficiency with banking systems, MS Office, and standard financial software.

Professional branch setting with regular member interaction.

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (coin bags, supplies, etc.).

Standard weekday hours with occasional flexibility.
