Obstetrician/Gynecologist (OB/GYN) – MD/DO
Position Summary
The Obstetrician/Gynecologist provides comprehensive medical and surgical care related to women’s reproductive health. This physician manages obstetric care throughout pregnancy and delivery, provides gynecologic care across the lifespan, and delivers patient-centered care in outpatient, inpatient, and surgical settings.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive obstetric care, including prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum management
Diagnose and treat gynecologic conditions and perform preventive women’s health services
Perform gynecologic and obstetric surgical procedures, including cesarean sections and minimally invasive surgeries
Conduct routine exams, screenings, and family planning services
Manage acute and chronic conditions related to women’s reproductive health
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nursing, anesthesia, pediatrics, and maternal-fetal medicine
Educate patients on reproductive health, pregnancy, contraception, and preventive care
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and continuing medical education activities
Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
Completion of an accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program
Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Unrestricted medical license or eligibility for licensure in the practicing state
Strong clinical, surgical, and communication skills
Work Environment
Outpatient clinics, hospital inpatient units, and surgical settings
Includes on-call responsibilities, nights, weekends, and deliveries
