VOIP Enterprise Architect
Join Resolution Think as the lead technical resource responsible for the configuration, engineering, and implementation of CISCO VOIP solutions at Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a master-level understanding of existing VOIP and PSTN systems configuration within two (2) weeks of contract award.
Provide expert guidance in configuration, network architecture, and implementation planning for CISCO VOIP solutions.
Lead the engineering and formatting of CISCO VOIP systems to support telecommunications services at NSWCCD headquarters and detachment sites.
Design and implement VOIP architecture that accommodates NSWCCD's unique infrastructure, including buildings with secured spaces and underground concrete structures with limited network connectivity.
Lead implementation of new VOIP systems, including migration of all legacy systems to new VOIP architecture with minimal impact to operations.
Ensure integration and interfacing into commercial systems, both inside and outside the fence line, including analog, copper, network, digital, and VOIP systems.
Configure systems using commercial products only, in accordance with government requirements.
Develop structured tracking and deployment process for VOIP phones/lines, their allocation, and management.
Coordinate deployment activities to minimize impact to NSWCCD daily operations, including scheduling installations during nonbusiness hours (nights and weekends) when necessary.
Plan and execute configuration trips to primary detachment sites (may require travel to multiple locations for no more than 2 working days per site).
Provide sustaining support including routine maintenance and troubleshooting of errors/defects.
Assist with deployment and ongoing support to ensure VOIP fleet remains compliant and functional for telecommunications across the base and detachments.
Serve as technical escalation point for complex VOIP system issues.
Minimum Qualifications
Active DoD Secret (Tier 1) security clearance REQUIRED prior to commencement of work.
Must be able to complete T1-P1 security processing within 10 days of contract award.
Minimum one (1) year experience performing the same or similar work.
Demonstrated expertise in VOIP enterprise architecture and CISCO telecommunications systems.
Proven experience with large-scale VOIP implementations and migrations.
Experience with government or DoD telecommunications infrastructure preferred.
Expert knowledge of CISCO VOIP systems including Cisco Call Manager.
Deep understanding of network architecture and telecommunications infrastructure.
Proficiency in configuring gateway and endpoint functionality.
Experience with integration of legacy systems (analog, copper, PSTN) with modern VOIP architectures.
Strong understanding of commercial telecommunications products and solutions.
Knowledge of enterprise system integration and interfacing requirements.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong project management and planning capabilities.
Excellent communication skills for interfacing with government clients and technical teams.
Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives.
Flexibility to work nonbusiness hours (nights and weekends) when required for deployments.
Preferred Qualifications
CISCO certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE Voice/Collaboration).
Experience with Naval or DoD telecommunications environments.
Knowledge of DoD security requirements and compliance standards.
Experience with secured facilities and SCIF environments.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
On-site presence required Monday through Friday at NSWCCD facilities.
Ability to access secured spaces and work in various facility environments.
Occasional travel to detachment sites across the United States.
Flexibility to work extended hours including nights and weekends during deployment phases.
