Our client a 250M high growth hospitality company is seeking to hire a driven, strategic CFO. The CFO will assist the CEO in achieving the company performance objectives including support of organic, acquisition and operational growth.
Key responsibilities:
The CFO will be HANDS-ON and a key member of the Executive Leadership Team of the Company, playing an impactful role in developing and implementing strategy. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and partnering with the other members of senior management, the CFO will oversee and manage reporting systems and controls, ensuring that key functional leaders and their teams are provided with accurate, timely, and relevant financial data that is helpful in running the business.
As a proactive member of the senior team, support the execution of its strategy and assist in driving well-defined targets; establish metrics and systems that maintain accountability and manage risks. Lead a rigorous and disciplined annual planning and forecasting process to provide analytical insight and direction to management decision makers, while dually ensuring that aggressive yet realistic plans are established.
Ability to use Financial Planning and Analysis to provide business insights for the CEO, ELT and Board of Directors to make key strategic decisions.
Working with CEO and senior management team, ensure that the company develops and maintains an optimal capital structure, minimizing the cost of capital while maintaining financial flexibility.
Lead and manage the company’s treasury function, including financings and cash management activities.
Lead and manage the company’s accounting, control and tax function. Ensure that the company maintains adequate financial and non-financial controls and that it leverages information technology in the accumulation, analysis, interpretation and distribution of financial information. Assist in enhancing the use of Data Analytics in the business.
Serve as both a financial and a business advisor to the CEO and other members of the leadership team.
Work closely with the CEO on M&A including due diligence and deal structuring
Present to the Board of Directors, including Private Equity partners
Additional responsibilities will include overseeing and managing all aspects of controllership, financial planning & analysis, tax, treasury, and internal audit. He/She will provide leadership to the finance organization.
Professional Experience/Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have 15 or more years of experience in financial and senior leadership positions of increasing scope and responsibility in a hospitality, retail or multi location services company. Ideally, this individual will have 5+ years as a CFO in a 200M or larger company working with private equity owners.
Education:
An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or closely related business discipline is required, with a graduate degree preferred. Additionally, a CPA or MBA is strongly preferred
