We are seeking a General Manager / COO to lead our operations. What You Will Be Doing
Operational Leadership
Direct daily manufacturing operations across sheet metal, machining, welding, and assembly.
Ensure compliance with AS9100D, ISO 9001, ITAR, and customer-specific requirements.
Oversee production scheduling, quality control, and on-time delivery.
Sales & Business Development
Work closely with sales engineers and production support staff to streamline quoting and customer communication.
Expand business with existing accounts and develop new aerospace/defense relationships.
Identify and execute growth opportunities in new programs and markets.
Office & Administrative Oversight
Supervise office staff, finance, and administrative functions to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Implement processes and KPIs for job costing, forecasting, and profitability tracking.
Support HR in hiring, performance management, and workforce development.
Strategic Planning & Growth
Partner with the President on long-term growth strategy, capacity expansion, and potential M&A opportunities.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in efficiency, throughput, and margins.
Lead cross-functional teams to align operations, sales, and administration with company objectives.
Qualifications
10+ years of leadership experience in aerospace/defense manufacturing, machining, sheet metal, or related precision manufacturing.
Proven track record overseeing operations, sales, and administrative functions in a growing company.
Strong knowledge of AS9100D, ISO 9001, ITAR, AS9102 FAI process, and aerospace quality requirements.
Business acumen with experience in financial management, cost control, and KPI reporting.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Engineering or business degree required (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or similar). MBA or Six Sigma certification preferred.
Hands‑on leader who engages both the shop floor and the executive office.
Customer‑focused and able to build strong external relationships.
