We are looking for a passionate and skilled Product Director (IC) to join our team and drive the development of cutting‑edge educational products.
About the Job We embrace the SVPG Product Operating Model by empowering our product teams to solve hard customer and business problems in ways that our customers love yet work for our business. Each product team is cross‑functional and typically comprised of a product manager, product designer, tech lead, and program manager (4‑in‑a‑box model). As a Product Director, you will:
Lead and influence product strategy across multiple initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs.
Collaborate closely with designers and engineers to discover and deliver high‑value solutions that are viable, usable, and feasible.
Own a strategic pillar, develop and communicate a product strategy, and secure buy‑in from stakeholders.
Drive the quarterly strategic planning process, set OKRs, and develop roadmaps.
Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of innovation, data‑driven decision making, and accountability for results.
Qualifications
Proven track record as an individual contributor product manager responsible for value and viability of solutions.
Deep understanding of business fundamentals across marketing, sales, support, finance, legal, and privacy.
Expertise in modern product discovery and delivery methodologies.
Hands‑on experience with engineering, design, finance, sales, or marketing functional areas.
Strong analytical and communication skills, including the ability to present data‑driven arguments in written form.
Proficiency in engaging constructively with stakeholders and executives.
Experience owning strategic pillars and securing buy‑in for product strategies.
Ability to work collaboratively within a cross‑functional team and lead through influence.
Enjoyable for shipping products that deliver measurable business impact.
Compensation & Benefits Pay range: $165,000 – $185,000 per year (state‑specific adjustments apply). Eligible for an annual incentive program and benefits package. Information on benefits is available here.
