About the Job We embrace the SVPG Product Operating Model by empowering our product teams to solve hard customer and business problems that our customers love yet work for our business. Our product teams are cross‑functional and generally comprised of a product manager, product designer, tech lead, and a program manager (4‑in‑a‑box model). As an individual‑contributor product manager, you will be responsible for the value and viability of solutions, collaborate closely with design and engineering to discover effective solutions, and influence teammates, stakeholders, and key executives through data and logic.
Key Responsibilities
Drive the development and launch of educational products that are valuable, viable, usable, and feasible.
Collaborate with product designers, engineers, and other functional areas to discover solutions and deliver them to market.
Track industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer engagement data to inform product decisions.
Own strategic pillars, develop product strategy, define OKRs, and manage a roadmap.
Engage with individual contributors and leaders at all levels in constructive and collaborative relationships.
Ensure timely shipping and hold teams accountable to results, even when overcoming organizational barriers.
Necessary Qualifications
Proven track record over multiple years as an individual‑contributor product manager responsible for value and viability of solutions.
Proven ability to go deep and quickly learn new domains, and understand all major parts of the business.
Demonstrated understanding of modern product discovery and delivery techniques.
Ability to learn multiple functional areas of business—engineering, design, finance, sales, or marketing.
Ability to solve hard problems with many constraints, using sound judgment and presenting data‑informed written narratives.
Proven ability to engage with both individual contributors and leaders of all levels in constructive and collaborative relationships.
Responsible for assisting with quarterly strategic planning, defining OKRs, and developing a roadmap.
Proven ability to own a strategic pillar and develop and get buy‑in for a product strategy based on that pillar.
Compensation The minimum full‑time salary range is between $165,000 – $185,000. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive programme, and information on benefits offered is here.
