Position:

Senior Director of Facilities and Construction Management

Location:

Kaimuki, HI (Onsite)

Pay:

$140,000/year

Experience:

10 years progressive experience in engineering or construction management; 5 years executive or management experience in facilities, engineering, or construction management, preferably within a similar scale and scope.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, facilities management, engineering, architecture, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred; Current Hawai‘i Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

M-F 8:00am-4:30pm

Job Description

Collaborate with senior leadership to prioritize and complete construction projects and facilities maintenance.

Oversee planning, budgeting, and financial management for new construction and renovation projects.

Manage design teams to ensure compliance with building codes, permits, lease terms, and company standards.

Select and manage vendors, contractors, and service providers, ensuring accountability to scope, budget, and timelines.

Oversee maintenance, repair, and replacement of facilities and equipment, maintaining a comprehensive inventory and budget.

Respond to emergencies or urgent repair needs during and outside standard work hours.

Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and facility standards.

Provide support to the Real Estate Management team for related initiatives.

Develop, forecast, and manage operating and capital budgets aligned with strategic objectives.

Meet or exceed financial targets and ensure cost-effective use of resources.

Champion a customer-focused vision and ensure departmental goals support the company’s mission and Hoaloha Guiding Principles.

Lead and develop management staff to promote a safe, collaborative, and efficient work environment.

Foster effective communication and collaboration across teams, contractors, and business partners.

Perform additional duties and projects assigned to support company goals.

Position Requirements

Must be residing on the island to be considered for this role.

Experience managing projects valued at $50 million or more.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and project management abilities.

Ability to hold contractors and design professionals accountable for budgets and timelines.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Strong customer service orientation and collaborative leadership style.

Regular use of hands for office and technology equipment.

Occasional movement throughout office and site locations.

Ability to lift to 15–20 lbs.

Ability to travel interisland (up to 25%) via air and motor vehicle.
