Job Description:
Pay Range: $18.25hr - $20.30hr- The Patient Services Representative I represents the face of the company to patients and plays a critical role in providing quality specimen collection services.
- This role involves drawing blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring all procedures are performed safely, accurately, and in compliance with established practices.
- The Phlebotomist I creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment.
- Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
- Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as required.
- Minimum experience in phlebotomy.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboarding and data entry experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred.
