ASML US, LP brings together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy‑efficient microchips. We design, develop, integrate, market and service these advanced machines, which enable our customers - the world’s leading chipmakers - to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics. Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices in Wilton, CT, Chandler, AZ, San Jose, CA and San Diego, CA. ASML is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of lithography systems that help enable Moore’s Law and the creation of increasingly powerful and capable electronic devices. At our San Diego location we are renowned for developing both deep ultraviolet (DUV) lithography light sources and next generation extreme ultraviolet (EUV) light sources. We are a multinational company with over 70 locations in 16 countries, headquartered in Veldhoven, the Netherlands. If you have a passion for technology and innovation you’ll want to check us out. Be a part of ASML. Be a part of progress. The Configuration Engineer (CE) is a critical member of the Machine Integration Team (MIT), responsible for owning and maintaining the system configuration of assigned prototype systems. This role ensures hardware registration, monitors configuration gaps against baseline requirements, and drives plans to close those gaps in alignment with integration objectives. The CE secures materials, tools, and resources—including sequences and procedures—to enable engineering changes and collaborates closely with Upgrade Integrators, Configuration Architects, and Proto Integrators to maintain accurate configurations. Additionally, the CE supports engineering, R&D, and manufacturing in testing optical, mechanical, and electrical modules and integrating complex systems. Key Responsibilities
Maintain documented

machines regularly. Collaborate with System Integration to define test configurations for test plan specifications. Produce clear, concise documentation in ASML/Cymer-defined formats. Drive material, tooling, and resource availability for upgrade activities. Work according to established safety standards inside and outside the cleanroom. Collect and review inputs for upgrade packages and sequence creation from drawings, specifications, and other sources to ensure configuration quality. Participate in acceptance testing of designs. Use company technical documentation, provide feedback for improvement, and assist in creating service documentation. Interact with cross‑functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, logistics, customer support, and management) to build effective relationships across the organization. Manage stakeholders and holds accountability to configuration deliverables and quality. Self‑propelling within own area of expertise, subject to high‑level managerial direction. Guides and impacts the work of peers, typically 3‑5 engineers. Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive improvement. Act as a backup to the Source Configuration Engineer and support the Source Configuration Architect to ensure configuration deliverables are accomplished with necessary quality. Perform other duties as assigned or required. Education & Experience
