Job Overview Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Finance Manager to be a key member of the AWS GenAI team. This role will own end-to-end finance support including CapEx management and planning for Generative AI services. Additionally, this role will drive strategic new Generative AI feature launches and process improvements across the organization. The successful candidate will communicate effectively, manage multiple time-sensitive deliverables across a highly matrixed organization, manage risks and opportunities, possess strong business partnership skills, and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Take the lead in financial planning; build complex financial models and analytical tools to measure overall financial performance.

Own the GenAI services end-to-end and influence business decisions that drive revenue and/or capital expenditures.

Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements including automation and coordination with upstream and downstream organizations.

Partner with finance teams across AWS to standardize, streamline, and prioritize improvements, remove roadblocks, and increase reliability and efficiency of reporting.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of quantitative role experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of SQL/ETL.

MBA or CPA.

6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience.

6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience.

6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience.

6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience.

5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience.

5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have proven impact.

Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).

Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.

Compensation Salary range: $85,900 to $179,500 per year, dependent on geographic market and experience. Additional equity, sign-on payments, and benefits may also apply.
