About the role Our Financial Services EY EDGE practice provides dedicated tax technical services to U.S. and global clients.
As a Senior Analyst in FSO EDGE State & Local Tax, you will deliver tax compliance and consulting work, identifying problem areas, providing insights, and ensuring client needs are met efficiently.
Your Key Responsibilities
Analyzing an evolving portfolio of complex tax operations to provide meaningful business insights
Identifying potential opportunities and risks and communicating these to our clients
Learning and researching current market trends to maintain your credibility as a trusted advisor
Developing clear, intelligent plans and approaches to improve our clients’ tax activities
Researching clients’ business operations and building long‑lasting relationships to tailor your advice to their specific needs
Working with a motivated team of professionals
Building effective long‑term relationships with our clients
Maintaining your reputation in your field by constantly updating and sharing your technical knowledge
Skills & Attributes for Success To qualify for the role, you must have:
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline, or a graduate degree in Tax or Law
Progress towards CPA or Enrolled Agent license
A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in professional services or a tax organization
A thorough understanding of automated tax processing systems and laws within your area of technical professionalism
Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills, and confidence to challenge senior colleagues and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
A commitment to ongoing learning
Ideally, You Will Also Have
Thorough understanding of state and local partnership tax
Proficiency in Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with Return Preparation Software
Experience working in a variety of teams
Ability to adapt your work style to collaborate with both internal and client team members

A comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and paid time off options. Base salary ranges from $81,900 to $135,100 nationwide.
A flexible hybrid model with 40‑60% in‑person client engagement as needed.
