The Opportunity:

ML6 has partnered with a manufacturing organization in Maryland in their search for a Division Controller to join their rapidly growing organization. As a Division Controller, you will provide financial leadership and oversight to multiple manufacturing facilities. You will serve as a key business partner to division leadership, ensuring financial integrity, driving operational performance through analysis, and supporting strategic decision-making. The Division Controller will be responsible for financial reporting for multiple sites, budgeting and forecasting for the division, supporting ERP implementation, and post-acquisition integration.

What You'll Be Doing:

Financial Leadership & Reporting Oversee all financial reporting for assigned manufacturing locations, ensuring compliance with GAAP and corporate policies. Prepare timely and accurate financial statements. Maintain accurate application of ASC 606 revenue recognition. Budgeting & Forecasting Lead annual budget development and periodic forecasts for the division. Provide variance analysis and actionable insights to management. Partner with plant managers and operational leaders to align financial plans with production, supply chain, and sales goals. ERP Implementation & Systems Support ERP implementation and standardization across multiple sites. Ensure effective utilization of systems for real-time financial and operational decision-making. Drive process improvements and internal control enhancements. Acquisition Integration Support post-acquisition integration activities of parent. Implement uniform financial reporting and controls. Team Leadership & Development Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting and finance staff. Ensure consistent application of policies and procedures across teams. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration. Strategic Partnership Serve as a financial advisor to the divisions leadership team. Provide decision support for capital investments, cost reduction initiatives, and operational efficiencies. Contribute to long-term strategic planning and profitability initiatives.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

Bachelors degree in Accounting required. CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred. Progressive accounting experience within the manufacturing industry Experience working with multiple sites Expert knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition, including percentage of completion. Experience with ERP implementation and financial system integration. Strong understanding of post-acquisition business integration. Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. Proven ability to manage and develop accounting/finance teams. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both financial and non-financial stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
