Position Overview: The Accounting Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data related to sales, customer billing, and product costs. This position supports operational excellence by auditing customer orders, validating pricing and discount structures, ensuring accurate invoicing for SaaS and other recurring services, and providing key financial reports. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working cross-functionally with sales, logistics, and customer service teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Order and Invoice Auditing Audit customer orders to ensure compliance with company standards and pricing agreements. Verify the accuracy of discounts applied to customer accounts and ensure adherence to approved programs. Review and validate invoice pricing for correctness before issuing to customers. Monitor invoice adjustments and maintain proper documentation for discrepancies. Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, and Operations to resolve billing discrepancies and clarify pricing/discount inquiries Maintain records of all special pricing and discounts
SaaS and Service Revenue Track active customer subscriptions for SaaS or other recurring services. Ensure monthly invoicing for all active subscribers and investigate any missing or delayed charges. Reconcile subscription data between the billing system and customer records; follow up on any billing gaps or changes in service status.
Financial Reporting Prepare daily shipment and booking reports for internal distribution. Compile monthly sales reports with breakdowns by product category, customer, and region. Assist in month-end close processes by providing accurate billing and revenue data. Analyze T&E (travel and entertainment) expense claims to ensure policy compliance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Cost & Margin Analysis Review product landed costs including tariffs, duties, freight, and other import-related expenses. Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to update cost records in the accounting/ERP system. Participate in landed cost variance analysis and provide insight for margin optimization.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2 to 4 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, billing, order processing, or a related role, preferably within a wholesale or consumer goods environment. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Infor M3, SAP, NetSuite) preferred. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
