Manufacturing & Multi-Site Operations (US/Mexico) Hybrid | 1020% Travel | Executive-Level Partnering
About the Role A large, global manufacturing organization is seeking a
Director of Finance
to lead financial operations for a high-volume production platform spanning multiple facilities across the U.S. and Mexico. This role partners directly with executive leadership and oversees a broad finance team supporting plant operations, FP&A, compliance, and strategic initiatives. This position is hybrid with periodic travel to several North American sites (1020%).
What Youll Lead
Financial Leadership & Oversight Own full
P&L and balance sheet management
for a multi-site manufacturing portfolio Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasting, and compliance Lead the annual planning cycle, capital budgets, and recurring outlook updates Drive variance analysis (budget, prior year, volume, price, cost, productivity)
Team Management Lead and mentor a distributed team of finance professionals across several sites Build structure, improve processes, and elevate team capability
Operational Partnership Serve as the key finance partner to senior operations leaders and commercial teams Improve reporting visibility across financial, operational, and supply chain metrics Provide insight into working capital, cash flow, customer profitability, and efficiency
Strategic Projects Support footprint initiatives, cost-savings programs, and manufacturing strategy Evaluate new business, customer contracts, and investment proposals Partner with leadership on long-range planning and business transformation
What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA/CPA strongly preferred) 10+ years of finance or accounting experience in a manufacturing environment Experience supporting
multi-plant or multi-country operations Strong US GAAP knowledge; experience with
statutory reporting outside the U.S. Bilingual
English/Spanish
(required for cross-border leadership) Prior exposure to
maquila/IMMEX-style
operations highly valuable Expert proficiency in financial systems (Excel, SAP, ERP/BI tools) Proven success building teams, influencing leaders, and driving change Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate in a matrixed environment
