Overview A well-capitalized commercial bank with a strong national presence is looking for a proven relationship banker to join its commercial and institutional banking group. This role focuses on building and expanding relationships with middle-market and commercial clients across multiple industries. The successful candidate will be skilled in originating, structuring, and managing credit relationships while partnering closely with internal teams to deliver tailored banking and lending solutions. Key Responsibilities Develop, manage, and grow a portfolio of commercial and institutional clients across target markets. Source and originate new lending and banking opportunities through direct outreach, client referrals, and professional networks. Conduct detailed credit and financial analysis to evaluate the feasibility and risk profile of proposed transactions. Structure and negotiate loan terms for commercial real estate, C&I, and other tailored lending solutions. Partner with credit, underwriting, and operations teams to ensure timely and efficient execution of transactions. Maintain ongoing client engagement to identify cross-sell opportunities across treasury, deposit, and capital markets products. Monitor portfolio performance and credit quality, ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements. Represent the firm at client meetings, industry events, and community engagements to enhance brand visibility and pipeline development. Contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at expanding market presence and improving relationship profitability.
