Data Center Consultant
to support large-scale AI and cloud infrastructure environments. This is a hands-on role focused on installing, configuring, and troubleshooting data center hardware while supporting high-availability production systems.
Contract Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire opportunity
Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of hands-on data center experience, including rack/stack and hardware installation Experience working with copper and fiber cabling Basic Linux CLI knowledge for troubleshooting and system checks Understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, and Layer 2/Layer 3 concepts Ability to configure and verify network devices at a basic level Experience working with server hardware from vendors such as Dell, HP, or Supermicro
What You Will Be Doing Daily Responsibilities Install, configure, and troubleshoot server, storage, and networking hardware in enterprise data centers Perform rack and stack of servers, network devices, and supporting infrastructure Run, terminate, and manage structured cabling, including copper, fiber, and power Perform Layer 1 diagnostics and resolve hardware-related issues Navigate Linux-based operating systems for basic troubleshooting and verification Assist with basic configuration and validation of network devices using vendor CLIs
