Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Paraplanner to support our financial planning team in delivering high-quality investment and insurance advice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in developing customized financial plans, conducting detailed product research, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with financial advisors to prepare personalized financial plans for clients, including investment strategies, insurance analysis, and retirement planning Conduct research on investment products, insurance solutions, estate planning tools, and other financial strategies Create client reports and financial projections using planning software and modeling tools Prepare documentation and reports for client meetings, ensuring accuracy and clarity Maintain compliance with SEC and state insurance regulations Liaise with product providers, custodians, and insurance carriers to gather relevant data Update client information and financial records in CRM and planning systems Track follow-ups and ensure timely plan implementation and documentation
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field preferred Minimum of 2 years of experience in a paraplanning or financial planning support role Strong understanding of investment and insurance products, financial planning principles, and compliance requirements Proficient in financial planning software (e.g., eMoney, Riskalayze, Morningstar, or similar) and CRM systems Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills Ability to obtain your CFP designation within the first 3 years of your employment Ability to obtain your Maryland Producer License within first 3 months of employment Ability to obtain your FINRA Series 65 within first 6 months of employment
Preferred Qualifications: CFP designation Experience working in a fee-based or fiduciary financial planning environment Familiarity with Maryland-specific insurance and financial regulations
