Assistant Corporate Controller (Bristol)

The Opportunity:
ML6 has partnered with a first-class manufacturing organization in their search for an Assistant Corporate Controller to join their rapidly growing organization. As an Assistant Corporate Controller, you would report to the Corporate Controller with responsibility for general ledger, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and treasury.
What You'll Be Doing:
General Ledger & Internal Controls: Prepare/review monthly account reconciliations. Maintain and update chart of accounts; map to financial statements. Create financial reports in ERP and FP&A systems. Conduct periodic internal audits. Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, management reports, and executive packages (e.g., EBITDA, cash conversion, working capital). Lead FP&A software (Prophix) implementation and automation of reporting. Support budgeting, forecasting, and board/business review reporting. Provide trend analysis on sales, expenses, orders, and marketing KPIs. Maintain accuracy of order backlog and production-related financials. Oversee travel expense reporting. Treasury & Cash Management: Manage ACH/wire transfers, weekly cash forecasting, and banking reports. Address payables issues; collaborate with AP, vendors, and purchasing. Backup for daily cash posting and oversee AR/AP team functions.
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
5+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment Bachelors Degree in Accounting Experience with US GAAP and SOX compliance Experience with ERP or software implementation Strong business acumen (understanding of inventory, procure to pay, backlog and sales relationship, marking) Strong understanding of financial statement relationships and chart of accounts Ability to mine through large amounts of data and interpret results CPA and/or MBA or candidate preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel Ability to quickly learn new technology and applications Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
