A Charlotte-based Private Credit firm is seeking a Private Credit Associate to join their team. The firm invests in middle-market companies and has over a billion in AUM. The platform focuses on private market strategies designed to generate predictable cash flows, primarily through direct debt and equity investments secured by high-quality, collateralized assets. Specific areas they specialize in include ABL, Specialty Finance, and Private Credit. The platform specializes in asset-based lending (ABL), specialty finance, and private credit, offering investors access to differentiated opportunities in private markets. As a Private Credit Associate, you will work on a lean deal team, gaining extensive hands-on transaction experience across the full investment lifecycle, including sourcing, diligence, structuring, and portfolio management.
The Private Credit Associate will be responsible for: Execution of broader market and industry research Financial modeling, valuation analysis, and returns analysis for various investment targets Take point on due diligence processes Monitor existing investment portfolio Assisting the team with operating/portfolio company work
The Private Credit Associate should have the following qualifications: 1-3 years of Investment Banking experience performing M&A with a reputable middle market or lower middle market bank; related transaction advisory consulting experience will also be considered Bachelor's Degree Superior financial analysis, modeling, budgeting, and forecasting skills (there will be a modeling test) Excellent interpersonal skills and exceptional work ethic Prior experience or interest in sectors such as business services, industrials, manufacturing and/or consumer
