within our Autonomy teams, you will play a crucial role in advancing our AI platform's integration with vehicles and humanoid robotics.
You'll
be at the forefront of
testing and
valida
ting
features that
leverage
the power of Tesla AI, ensuring seamless functionality across various platforms. You will
be responsible for
identifying
gaps
in test coverage
,
building test
systems
, and publishing reliability metrics
for the explicit software stack
at the
convergence
of
system interfaces, sensors, actuators, and
applications
. The team contributes to the development and deployment of new features on both vehicles and robotics platforms. Join us in shaping the future of mobility and robotics technology.
What You'll Do
Work with
software developers and
hardware designers to
cultivate
an expert understanding of
sensors, actuators
, telemetry
, and other sub-systems and their interfaces with the autonomy computer
Develop and execute comprehensive system and sub-system level test specifications and test plans and provide feedback to development team
Identify
risks to interfaces and mechanisms that enable redundancy and fail-operational behaviors
B
uild tools
and methods
to execute tests and evaluate results efficiently and repeatedly
on HIL and SIL environments
Develop prototype test setups to integrate new subsystems with simulated or actual vehicle components
Investigate field issues through data analysis and issue reproduction
Navigate production
source code to
identify
and debug issues and propose robust solutions.
Build metrics in support of
functional safety
validation according to common
industry standards (ISO 26262,
etc
)
What You'll Bring
Practical experience developing for test frameworks in Python and debugging
production C++ codebases
Experience with embedded systems software
and hardware
design concepts
Experience with automotive communication standards such as CAN, Ethernet, TCP/IP
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills

$132,000 - $390,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
