Soft Deburr Technician
The Soft Deburr Technician performs post-machining deburring operations that involve smoothing rough edges from machined parts using various hand tools and examining components to ensure it meets product conformance. Responsibilities: Review the Work Order to determine proper deburring tools for use. Using tools selected, remove burrs from machined parts accurately (conforms to specifications and processes as recorded on Work Order) and in a timely manner. Properly and accurately clocks in and out of work and jobs. Properly and accurately record completed parts. Properly and accurately records scrap/waste. Check parts for machining irregularities and communicate problems to Quality Assurance Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area Follows all safety rules and regulations. Attains goal for Machine Hours versus Payroll Hours. Attains goal for Actual Hours versus Planned Hours on Work Orders. Attains goal for scrap and waste. Qualifications/Experience: Accredited High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. One to three months' experience in a manufacturing facility highly desired. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, drawings, and safety manuals. Ability to solve practical problems and understand a variety of instructions Ability to work independently and methodically Able to work in a high-volume production environment and meet production schedule Good eye-hand coordination Proficient manual dexterity required to hold and examine small, machined parts using tools provided Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Be able to reach overhead. Be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time. Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks. Be able to lift and/or move 35 pounds of weight frequently throughout assigned workday. This position will require exposure to moderate noise levels (normally in a production environment) which may require the use of hearing safety equipment. Job Specifics: Pay: $17/hr.
