Program Manager Cancer Outcomes

AdventHealth Daytona Beach includes a 293-bed main hospital in Daytona Beach, as well as outpatient facilities located at the Pavilion at Port Orange and the New Smyrna Health Park. More than 400 physicians hold privileges to practice at our facilities, and we employ more than 1,700 care team members. Our specialties include cardiology, cancer, emergency care, surgical services, obstetrics, Level II NICU, neurosurgery, stroke care, rehabilitation, weight-loss surgery, imaging, laboratory, home health, wound care, diabetes, hospice, physician practices, and women's services. We also offer the area's only inpatient rehabilitation facility with Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) accreditation for stroke care. The role you'll contribute: The Program Manager Cancer Outcomes collaborates with clinical departments across the Central Florida Division (CFD) to improve quality and outcomes to meet accreditation and regulatory requirements. Responsible for ensuring clinical outcomes accurately reflect the care provided at AdventHealth, to allow for accurate public reporting of clinical outcomes. Utilizes clinical expertise to review patient care episodes across the continuum and make appropriate inferences of clinical outcomes. Serves as the clinical content expert on care of the cancer patient across the care continuum. Responsible to collaborate with management to identify instances of clinical variability to provide opportunities for continuous performance improvement. Coordinates Institute Quality and Outcomes committees or clinical projects across the division (as assigned) with hospital and physician leadership to improve quality and value, in alignment with the organization's strategic imperatives. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. The value you'll bring to the team: Assists with developing and implementing the division wide quality improvement plan in accordance with the mission and strategic goals of the organization, federal and state laws and regulations, and accreditation standards. Coordinates and integrates the introduction of quality improvement processes throughout the organization in accordance with the quality plan. Responsible for development of clinical outcome metrics, accountability, ongoing evaluation, and process improvement. Drives performance metrics, analyzes data trends, and coaches nursing teams to improve performance. Develops, assists with, and monitors systems, and procedures for the identification, collection, and analysis of the performance of quality measurement data. Coordinates Institute Quality and Outcomes committees or clinical projects across the division (as assigned) with hospital and physician leadership to improve quality and value, in alignment with the organization's strategic imperatives. Leads national specialty accreditation implementation and ongoing management of standards across the division. Performs comprehensive, concurrent, and retrospective reviews in a timely manner. Demonstrates an ability to interpret components of a patient's medical history to quantify outcomes, including but not limited to radiology and pathology reports, operative reports, history and physical reports, physician and nurses' notes, discharge summaries, treatment protocol descriptions, and physician's letters.
