Black & Veatch’s Governments & Communities focuses on infrastructure needs for municipalities and government agencies. Our Industrial Water solution delivers lifecycle water, wastewater, and stormwater projects to help clients manage water costs while meeting regulatory and community requirements. Key Responsibilities
Business development: lead marketing efforts, strategy development, prospect identification, proposal preparation, client presentations, project budgeting and contracting; accountable for new business objectives and overall project performance. Project management: engage with assigned clients, develop market plans, and leverage resources to advance Black & Veatch’s market footprint. Project execution: oversee engineering manager(s); set project performance goals; participate in project activities with internal teams and owner representatives; manage budgeting, invoicing, and payments; lead project performance reviews. Staff management: team development, mentoring, coaching, training recommendations, and identification of new candidates to grow the team. Management responsibilities: acts as a project manager and may lead a project team whose composition varies by project. Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
20+ years of active water/wastewater experience with leadership in the industrial sector Professional Engineering License; Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline Understanding of budgets and financial metrics Contract negotiation skills, including knowledge of terms, risks, pricing, and payment terms Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search) in compliance with applicable laws Certifications
