Position Director – Transaction Advisory/Financial Due Diligence

About the Team TAG is a subsidiary of A&M that provides global leadership and advisory services to private equity, hedge funds, sovereign wealth, family office and corporate clients worldwide. The team specializes in buy‑side and sell‑side financial accounting due diligence, capital markets and accounting advisory, global transaction analytics, environmental, technical & sustainability advisory, and other M&A services.

How You Will Contribute As a Director, you will work with a highly motivated professional team on diverse industry projects, providing integrated due diligence that goes beyond traditional analytics and focuses on key value drivers for sponsors and lenders.

Responsibilities

Counsel and mentor Associates, Senior Associates and Managers.

Effectively lead the team in conversations with clients and lenders.

Manage and prioritize team responsibilities and consult with Managing Directors as appropriate.

Oversee all aspects of deals with limited guidance from Managing Directors.

Manage multiple chargeable and non‑chargeable projects of varying size and complexity.

Identify potential transaction risks and implement strategies to address them.

Generate comprehensive due diligence reports.

Lead the Quality of Earnings, P&L and Working Capital analyses.

Communicate regularly with clients regarding engagement matters such as billing, status updates, scope changes and request lists.

Effectively manage day‑to‑day client interaction and relationships, emphasizing A&M’s capabilities.

Develop and propose creative solutions to engagement and transaction risks.

Help engagement executives maximize the value the client receives from A&M.

Proactively recruit, train and develop individuals at all levels for TAG.

Engage in training initiatives, including developing and teaching courses.

Display a core understanding of all TAG services (FDD/ODD) and cross‑sell TAG and other A&M services when opportunities arise.

Abide by risk management guidelines and engagement review memo procedures.

Gather conflict‑check information and coordinate engagement codes with Managing Directors.

Assist Managing Directors and Senior Directors in sales and business development efforts.

Contribute to sales pursuits by generating new client business or adding on business from current clients.

Appropriately manage engagement risk and potential client or engagement issues.

Qualifications

8–10 years of financial accounting due diligence experience at a top accounting firm.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related major.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or in the process of obtaining one.

Working knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting and purchase accounting.

High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong project management skills.

Flexibility to work both as a team member and as an individual contributor.

Ability to thrive and be effective in fast‑paced settings.

The base salary is $200,000 annually, plus discretionary bonus.
