Vice President of Finance - Manufacturing - Base Salary up to $250k/year - Dallas, TX
Our client , a top American Manufacturer & Distributor, is seeking a Vice President of Finance to direct & oversee the company's financial strategy. This role is responsible for managing financial operations & maintaining the company's fiscal stability.
This role
is part of the Leadership Team, where the Vice President of Finance will collaborate with management to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans & policies and help to develop & coach the financial operations team.
Responsibilities
Manage financial operations including budgeting, forecasting & auditing
Work with Board & Officers to provide strategic insights and recommendations
Ensure that all financial transactions, policies, & procedures meet the organization's short & long term objectives
Collaborate with the Company President regarding the Financial Strategy
Identify procedures that can be streamlined to improve efficiency & consistency in reporting through automation
Manage the External Audit Process to ensure compliance with Regulatory and Company Policies
Oversee the preparation & communication of weekly, monthly and annual financial reports & statements
Responsible for bringing key financial data & updates to the Board, Officers & President
Ensure adherence to all legal & regulatory compliance across all financial functions
Provide Leadership & Development for Finance and Accounting team
Create & implement a Capital Expenditure Budget
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field – MBA preferred
10+ Years of experience in a senior financial role (VP or CFO level)
Background in Manufacturing is a plus
Demonstrated ability to lead people & get results
Ability to forecast & plan for long-term & short-term financial goals
Cost accounting experience
ERP Systems knowledge – proven experience & expertise with JD Edwards or comparable ERP system is required
High level of knowledge in finance, accounting & tax code compliance
Complex problem solving skills
Strong interpersonal & communication skills
Team oriented
Demonstrated leadership & team development experience
Compensation
Base salary up to $250,000 per year plus discretionary bonus
