Senior Financial Reporting Analyst — Downtown Chicago (Hybrid)
Large, Global Manufacturing Company A major publicly traded organization headquartered in
downtown Chicago
is seeking a
Senior Financial Reporting Analyst
to join its Corporate Finance team. This role sits within a high-visibility external reporting group and supports consolidated financial reporting, technical accounting, and preparation of quarterly/annual filings.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone coming from
Big 4 or large-company audit/financial reporting , particularly those with exposure to
manufacturing, industrials, or multi-entity environments .
What You’ll Do
Support the preparation of quarterly and annual external reporting deliverables
Assist with the company’s transition to
full U.S. GAAP
reporting and development of standardized tools, templates, and controls
Partner with finance, operations, and corporate teams to streamline and strengthen reporting processes
Provide documentation, schedules, and analysis for internal and external auditors (SOX and financial audits)
Perform monthly and quarterly flux analyses, reconciliations, and supporting workpapers
Execute reporting tasks tied to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
Participate in ongoing system enhancements and financial reporting system upgrades
Research unique or complex accounting matters and assist in drafting technical memos
Contribute to ad-hoc projects tied to policy updates, process improvements, and new accounting requirements
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years
of progressive accounting/financial reporting experience
Big 4 or large public company experience strongly preferred
CPA preferred , or actively pursuing
Strong command of U.S. GAAP
Fluency in Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools
Experience in a manufacturing or multi-unit environment is a plus
Ability to work cross-functionally in a deadline-driven environment
Strong documentation, analysis, and communication skills
