Job Summary As a Lead Process Improvement Engineer within the Operational Excellence Department, you will serve as an internal management consultant working collaboratively to achieve substantial improvement in operations by managing a portfolio of projects throughout the project lifecycle and collaborating with operational leaders to achieve agreements, develop and implement recommendations, support change and achieve excellent, lasting results for our patients.

Responsibilities Serve as a change agent and transformation leader, support performance improvement activities aligned with strategic direction, scope improvement initiatives, create and update project plans, oversee data collection and analysis, apply queuing theory, collaborate with leaders to ensure quality patient services, conduct process and data analysis, facilitate teams, query and analyze data, build and implement technical solutions, support managerial oversight, identify and implement ways to expand the engineering skillset, support the leadership team in shaping the project portfolio.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Healthcare Management, or related fields with improvement science and transformation training.

Experience with modern EMR software, optimization, reporting, and workflow design.

At least 1 year of mentoring and developing team members.

Master’s degree required.

Lean/Six Sigma Certification or equivalent experience.

Deep understanding of the healthcare system and ability to apply system/design thinking.

Advanced proficiency in statistics, data visualization software (Tableau/Power BI), SQL/databases, ETL tools (SSIS).

Advanced skills in process automation using Robotic Process Automation or Microsoft Power Platform.

Strong process mapping and visualization (Microsoft Visio).

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience with Python or other programming language.

Strong leadership skills to motivate and mentor team members.

Salary $106,400.00-$178,100.00 (Westchester Medical Center, New York)
