LHH is assisting an AmLaw 200 law firm seek a
part-time Staff Attorney
to join their Global Services team serving regional, national, and international clients. The practice spans general corporate representation, mergers & acquisitions, inbound/outbound international trade, and Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs). Work often includes advising U.S. and foreign clients on market entry, cross-border trading opportunities, joint ventures, licensing, distribution, and other commercial arrangements.
PT - Corporate Attorney
Charlotte, NC -
open to fully remote,
with preference for NC candidates
3-5 years of M&A and contracts experience
Up to 20 hours/week
Duration - Indefinite
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate corporate and commercial agreements (franchise, distribution, licensing, JV, and M&A)
Support ESOP transactions from an M&A perspective
Advise clients on international business matters and cross-border agreements
Manage deal workstreams, filings, and closing documentation
Deliver practical, business-focused legal counsel with timely communication
Qualifications Required:
J.D. from an accredited law school; admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
3–5 years of experience in corporate transactions (M&A, governance, or ESOP work)
Strong drafting and client-facing communication skills
Preferred:
Second language proficiency (German preferred; other languages welcome)
Experience with ESOP transactions
Familiarity with Charlotte/North Carolina practice or willingness to obtain NC admission
Schedule & Flexibility
Approximately 20 hours per week , with
flexibility to meet client and transaction needs
Hybrid work options available; periodic in-office presence expected
