What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Underwrite and quote new and existing Business Travel Accident and Special Risk accounts
Maintain and develop relationships with brokers and key clients
Collaborate with Account Managers, Salespeople, and Senior Management to onboard new brokers and Managing General Underwriters
Attend broker and client meetings to support business development efforts
Provide daily oversight of MGU partners and conduct annual audits of their underwriting practices
What is Required (Qualifications):
5+ years of Business Travel Accident (BTA) underwriting experience
Bachelor’s degree (preferably in business or math) or equivalent experience
Knowledge of Special Risk insurance
Proven ability to work independently with strong analytical and mathematical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Recent relationships with BTA and Special Risk brokers
Mastery of manual and experience rating
Strong knowledge of Blanket Insurance products
Proficiency in Excel
