About the Team
The Billing team oversees tools, infrastructure, data, reporting, analytics, and services essential for delivering seamless billing experiences. Our platform manages financial transactions and customer interactions, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and satisfaction.
What You Will Do
We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to drive the technical vision of the Billing Platform, which includes a core billing engine, invoicing system, commissions management, collections, payment processing, CRM integration, subscription management, credit control, dunning management, and reporting.
Responsibilities
Deliver cutting‑edge platforms that scale to users’ needs, focusing on reliability and efficiency.
Lead and manage a team of talented engineers, providing mentorship and support.
Provide hands‑on technical leadership in architecture, design, vision, and incident response.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting innovation and continuous improvement.
Partner with our recruiting team to attract and hire top talent and define hiring strategies.
Minimum Requirements
10+ years of professional software development experience with at least 4 years managing teams that shipped large‑scale applications.
Proven success in recruiting and building high-performing teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills across audiences, including leadership.
Effective cross‑functional collaboration and the ability to make difficult decisions and trade‑offs.
Thrives with high autonomy and responsibility in an ambiguous environment.
Technical acumen to drive clarity on architecture and strategic technical decisions.
Ability to foster a healthy, inclusive, and supportive work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the financial technology sector, focusing on billing, payments, subscription management, and financial reporting.
Expertise with SQL, NoSQL databases, Kafka, Spark, Airflow, or equivalents.
Education
Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Location Hybrid role working out of Palo Alto, CA; Dallas, TX; and Chevy Chase, MD.
Salary $140,000.00 - $300,000.00
