What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Analyze and evaluate existing transportation processes to enhance customer delivery and reduce costs
Compile and assess data from various management systems to facilitate process improvements
Develop and monitor transportation-related databases and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Collaborate with carriers and transportation managers to optimize service performance and cost efficiency
Manage vendor invoices and respond to transportation-related inquiries from internal stakeholders
What is Required (Qualifications):
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accountancy, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in transportation or logistics
Ability to effectively present information to diverse audiences at various organizational levels
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of automated freight pay and audit processes
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience in the courier industry or pool distribution environments
Familiarity with preparing or responding to RFPs and RFQs in a transportation context
Strong negotiating skills and ability to implement effective processes
Experience with continuous improvement or lean methodologies
Knowledge of small package, LTL, and TL transportation
