The Role The Staff Accountant supports EVG's Accounting & Finance function by ensuring accurate monthly financials, timely reconciliations, and strong financial controls across the network. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, this role partners cross-functionally and with external stakeholders to maintain compliance, support audits, and drive process improvement.

This is a hands‑on role ideal for an accountant who thrives in a fast‑paced, multi‑entity environment and enjoys contributing to operational efficiency as an organization grows.

This position is eligible for a traditional Monday‑Friday workweek or a Monday‑Thursday schedule.

What You’ll Do

Support the Director of Accounting with day‑to‑day financial transactions, journal entries, and close activities

Prepare and maintain numerous general ledger and bank account reconciliations

Coordinate quarterly inventory processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures

Ensure timely and accurate processing of travel and expense reports through Ramp

Maintain organized, compliant financial records and supporting documentation

Assist with internal and external audit preparation and execution

Serve as backup support for Accounts Payable as needed

Contribute to initiatives focused on improving efficiency, automation, and scalability

Support special projects and ad‑hoc analyses as assigned

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

1–3 years of accounting experience, including general ledger, reconciliations, and audit support

Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles

Experience in a multi‑entity, cost center, or location‑based accounting environment

Experience in veterinary, healthcare, or similar regulated industries is a plus

Familiarity with financial ERP systems; Sage Intacct experience strongly preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook

High attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy

Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines

US Pay Range: $70,000—$90,000 USD
