About the Role The Account Manager serves as the primary commercial lead for an assigned portfolio of clients, driving net revenue growth by fostering strong client relationships and delivering comprehensive solutions across the full MI product suite.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients within a book of business.
Develop a holistic understanding of each account’s business objectives, budget cycles, organization structure, critical needs, and opportunities.
Build multi‑threaded relationships across client stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor to solve business challenges.
Develop and execute account growth plans in partnership with Sales Specialists and Business Partners.
Prepare for renewal discussions through detailed account analysis.
Lead renewal and expansion negotiations and work with legal/procurement to finalize contracts and pricing changes.
Identify and mitigate account risks.
Maintain account health, introduce internal resources, and promote adoption of new offerings or modules.
Coordinate cross‑functional teams to develop comprehensive solutions that meet client needs.
Provide client feedback to inform product roadmaps and ensure alignment with CCO strategy for key accounts.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in relationship or account management within B2B environments.
Proven track record of managing complex client relationships and driving revenue growth.
Strong communication and presentation skills, able to engage C‑level executives and senior stakeholders.
Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable client strategies.
Compensation Anticipated base salary range: $102,387 – $141,583 (US candidates only). Compensation is based on geographic location, experience, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. Eligible for an annual incentive plan and additional S&P Global benefits.
