Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in San Francisco, California. This critical role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, minimizing discrepancies, and implementing efficient inventory management processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse operations and a proven ability to identify and resolve inventory-related issues. You will work closely with warehouse associates, supervisors, and management to ensure the integrity of our stock. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to upholding our high standards of operational excellence. We expect candidates to be proactive in identifying potential problems and implementing preventative measures. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and profitability of our warehouse operations. A thorough understanding of inventory control software and best practices is essential. You will also be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts and physical inventories. The role involves some Lifting of inventory items. Adherence to all Safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow within a leading logistics company.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Implement and monitor inventory control procedures.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure proper stock rotation and storage.
  • Generate inventory reports for management.
  • Assist with receiving and put-away processes as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all Safety and company policies.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role.
  • Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of PPE and warehouse Safety protocols.
  • Experience in the Logistics industry is a plus.
