Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team at our Jacksonville, Florida distribution center. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and a safe working environment. Your leadership will be instrumental in managing inventory, optimizing workflows, and motivating your team to achieve departmental goals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in warehouse management and a deep understanding of logistics principles. You will coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and troubleshoot any issues that arise. Key responsibilities include scheduling staff, training new hires, enforcing safety regulations, and managing the accurate and timely processing of orders. This position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is highly desirable. You will be expected to maintain high standards of inventory accuracy, implement process improvements, and ensure all team members are utilizing proper PPE. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct warehouse staff in daily activities.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures, including PPE compliance.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflows for efficiency.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse personnel.
- Coordinate with transportation and other departments.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Resolve operational issues and discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with WMS software.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- High school diploma; Bachelor's degree in logistics or related field preferred.
