Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Coordinator for our Kansas City, Missouri location. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily warehouse operations, managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and ensuring efficient logistics flow. You will lead a team of warehouse staff, ensuring productivity targets are met while upholding the highest standards of Safety. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate inventory records, optimizing warehouse layout, managing receiving and dispatch processes, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and the proper use of PPE. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of warehouse management systems, and a commitment to fostering a productive and safe work environment. Your expertise in logistics will be crucial to our success. This role involves significant Lifting and requires careful coordination.
Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities and staff.
  • Manage inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and ensure accuracy.
  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
  • Plan and coordinate shipment schedules to ensure timely delivery.
  • Implement and enforce strict Safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
  • Train and mentor warehouse associates on best practices and operational standards.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for maximum efficiency.
  • Maintain warehouse equipment and ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Liaise with other departments and external partners to ensure smooth logistics operations.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on warehouse performance.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or coordination role.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Thorough understanding of Safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
  • Experience with logistics and transportation management.

Requirements:
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends.
  • Ability to stand and move around the warehouse for extended periods.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and wearing required PPE.
