Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate shipping labels and documentation for all outgoing shipments.
- Verify shipment contents against orders to ensure accuracy.
- Schedule pickups with various shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc.).
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant parties.
- Maintain organized records of all shipping activities.
- Inspect outgoing packages for proper packaging and labeling.
- Communicate with internal departments regarding shipment status.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Operate shipping equipment such as scales and printers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a shipping or logistics role.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and carrier portals.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with standard warehousing practices.
- Must be able to perform some lifting, up to 30 pounds.
