Responsibilities:
- Read order slips or use scanning equipment to locate and retrieve specific items from warehouse shelves.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order requirements to ensure accuracy.
- Transport picked items to the packing station using carts or other equipment.
- Notify supervisors of any stock discrepancies or damaged items encountered.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area to facilitate efficient picking.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and wear required PPE, such as safety shoes and gloves.
- Assist with stocking and replenishment of picked items as needed.
- Participate in inventory counts as directed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily picking targets.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and logistics.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
- Capacity for Lifting items weighing up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Ability to interpret pick lists and/or operate scanning devices.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
