Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Inspect goods and document any discrepancies or damages.
- Sort, label, and store received items in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing shipments according to order specifications.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely (certification may be required).
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Coordinate with carriers for timely pickup of outgoing shipments.
- Adhere to all company safety guidelines and procedures.
- Ensure all packages are properly sealed and labeled for transit.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with shipping software and inventory systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Willingness to use PPE as required.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles and warehouse safety best practices.
