Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Process outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, and staging orders.
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts.
- Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading and shipping labels.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Ensure the shipping and receiving areas are clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Perform Lifting of packages and materials up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Support overall logistics operations and contribute to team goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and scanning equipment.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely (certification is a plus).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to handle frequent Lifting and other physical demands of the role.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
