Job Summary:
Exciting opportunity for a Picker/Packer to join our bustling warehouse in Phoenix, Arizona! As a Picker/Packer, you will be instrumental in fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently. Your primary responsibilities will include selecting items from warehouse shelves based on order sheets, carefully packaging them for shipment, and preparing orders for dispatch. This role is the backbone of our order fulfillment process. We prioritize a secure and efficient working environment, ensuring all team members are trained on and utilize the correct safety procedures and PPE . While the role is primarily focused on order picking and packing, there will be instances of lifting and moving packages. A basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order tickets.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Package products securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Label packages with shipping information.
- Stage packed orders for the shipping department.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as necessary.
- Contribute to team goals and maintain high productivity standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and understand order tickets and item descriptions.
- Basic math skills for order verification.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform moderate lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Willingness to wear provided PPE .
- Familiarity with general warehouse and logistics practices.
- Commitment to workplace safety .
