Job Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Picker/Packer in our Des Moines, Iowa facility. As a Picker/Packer, you will play a key role in our order fulfillment process. Your primary duties will involve accurately selecting items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders and then carefully packaging these items for shipment. This requires a good understanding of warehouse layouts and efficient movement throughout the facility. Precision and speed are important, as is a commitment to maintaining the quality of goods. You will be an integral part of our logistics operations, ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and in excellent condition. Teamwork and communication are vital, as you'll collaborate with colleagues to meet daily targets. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations according to pick lists or scanner instructions.
- Verify the quantity and item number of picked goods.
- Package items securely and efficiently for shipment, using appropriate materials.
- Inspect products for damage before packing.
- Affix shipping labels and any required documentation to packages.
- Stage completed orders for shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and follow all safety guidelines, including wearing required PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and help maintain inventory accuracy.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
