Join our dynamic team as an Inventory Control Specialist in Atlanta, Georgia! We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to maintain the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. This role is crucial to our overall logistics operations, ensuring that stock levels are precise and readily available for shipment. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to minimize stockouts and overstock situations. Responsibilities:
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventory audits with a high degree of accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Maintain inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Track and report on inventory accuracy metrics.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure proper stock rotation and organization.
- Monitor stock levels and recommend adjustments to reorder points.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Participate in ongoing training and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in developing and implementing inventory control procedures.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of logistics best practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with WMS software is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring moderate Lifting, up to 50 lbs.
