Job Summary:
We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. This role is critical for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, and implementing measures to improve inventory accuracy. This position demands a high level of attention to detail and analytical skills to ensure our logistics operations run smoothly. The Inventory Control Specialist will work closely with warehouse staff and management to identify and resolve stock issues, optimize storage locations, and contribute to efficient stock rotation. Understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) is essential. You will also play a key role in ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe lifting practices. Responsibilities include: Performing regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits. Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies between system records and physical stock. Analyzing inventory data to identify trends and potential issues. Implementing corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy and reduce shrinkage. Maintaining accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS). Monitoring stock levels and alerting management to potential shortages or overages. Assisting with the organization and layout of warehouse storage areas for optimal efficiency. Ensuring proper handling and storage of inventory to prevent damage. Adhering to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE and safe lifting techniques. Collaborating with the warehouse team to support overall logistics goals.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to conduct physical counts and audits accurately.
- Knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory best practices.
- Understanding of safety procedures, including proper PPE and safe lifting techniques.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
