Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Inventory Control Specialist for our San Antonio, Texas distribution center. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, managing stock levels, and implementing inventory control procedures. This position requires a sharp analytical mind, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of warehouse operations and logistics. You will work closely with warehouse staff to ensure accurate receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping processes. Maintaining a safe and orderly work environment is crucial, and adherence to all Safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE, is mandatory. While this role is less physically demanding than some operational roles, it requires focus and attention to detail, with occasional Lifting required. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Monitor stock levels and report any shortages or overages.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Assist with receiving and put-away processes to ensure accuracy.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Coordinate with other departments to resolve inventory-related issues.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of all inventory items.
  • Conduct audits of picking and packing accuracy.
  • Occasional Lifting of up to 30 lbs may be required.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or logistics.
  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and the use of PPE.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
