Job Summary:
Portland, Oregon needs an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to manage and optimize our warehouse inventory. This critical role focuses on ensuring inventory accuracy, minimizing discrepancies, and improving overall stock management processes. You will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our inventory system, implementing robust control measures, and contributing to the efficiency of our logistics operations. Responsibilities include performing detailed cycle counts, investigating variances, implementing corrective actions, and analyzing inventory data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems and inventory control techniques is essential. We are committed to a safe work environment, requiring strict adherence to Safety regulations and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to inventory management. Your contributions will directly impact our operational efficiency and profitability.Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify shrinkage, obsolescence, and other issues.
  • Manage and optimize warehouse layout for efficient inventory storage.
  • Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to ensure stock availability.
  • Generate reports on inventory accuracy, turnover, and other key metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or similar role.
  • Proficiency in WMS (Warehouse Management System) software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent understanding of inventory control principles and logistics best practices.
  • Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Commitment to upholding workplace Safety standards.
  • Must be comfortable working in a warehouse setting and using required PPE.
