Job Summary:
We are looking for a sharp and experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics hub in Salt Lake City, Utah. This critical role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and optimization of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for implementing and managing inventory control procedures, conducting regular audits, resolving discrepancies, and utilizing our Warehouse Management System (WMS) to maintain precise stock records. Your work directly impacts operational efficiency, cost control, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, optimize stock levels, and reduce waste.
  • Develop and implement procedures for inventory control, receiving, put-away, and stock rotation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the WMS, ensuring real-time updates.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, receiving, and shipping teams to ensure smooth inventory flow.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy metrics and report on performance.
  • Ensure proper storage conditions to maintain inventory quality and prevent damage.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory management and logistics.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar logistics role.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform detailed data entry and analysis.
  • Skilled in performing accurate counts and reconciling inventory records.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform moderate Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations in a warehouse environment and the importance of PPE.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
